On June 5, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met in Chatkal with representatives of the Eti Bakır Tereksay gold mining company headed by the head of the Board of Directors Sheref Zhengiz.
According to the press service of the government, the meeting "discussed topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Turkish enterprise, including the implementation of environmental requirements and social obligations."
"The management of the enterprise thanked the Kyrgyz government for providing comprehensive support to the company in the development of Terekkan, Perevalnoe gold mines and Terek gold-antimony mine. Within the framework of the project for the development of these fields, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Eti Bakır joint-stock company and the company "Eti Bakır Tereksay" signed an investment agreement. At the end of the meeting, a number of tasks were given to relevant state institutions and local authorities," the information says.
