Kyrgyzstan can become a link between Azerbaijan and China for the delivery of goods, thereby opening the way to Turkey and European countries. It was stated by the Chairman of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Samat Isabekov at the Caspian Investment Forum Bishkek held on April 17th, 2024.

Being organized to expand Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani economic relations, the forum was also attended by Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiyev, Minister of Transport Tilek Tekebayev, Deputy Head of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Javad Gasimov, heads and representatives of companies from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and other countries. Country Manager of Kyrgyzstan Office of Financial Chain Corporation Enn Raginskaya was also among the participants of the forum.

“We must simplify customs processes and thereby contribute to the development of international trade. These goals can be achieved by introducing automation and digitalization of customs processes. In the concept for the development of the customs service of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022-2024, where an important role is assigned to the digitalization of customs processes, we have chosen the path of development of the Azerbaijan Customs Committee. We call on the business communities of our countries to develop trade relations, for our part we are ready to provide full support,” Chairman of the Kyrgyz Customs Service said.

Underlining the special role of such forums, participants emphasized the importance of developing transit potential and the willingness to make every effort to establish business relations between the two countries.
