The seminar on effective use of trade missions as the mechanism of strengthening of trade and economic relations between the Turkic Parliament Assembly (TurkPA) member states was held. This was reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh on April 18, 2024. The seminar was held within the framework of the 11th meeting of the TurkPA Commission on Economic Cooperation. The seminar discussed issues in the field of expanding and strengthening trade and economic ties.

Secretary General of TurkPA Mehmet Sureyya Er said that today Turkic states are intensively increasing the volume of mutual trade, and the trade turnover between them has increased from 33 billion dollars in 2022 to 42 billion dollars in 2023.

In addition, major projects aimed at economic development, increasing commercial activity and promoting business projects, such as the industrial zone Turan Special Economic Zone and the Turkish Investment Fund, include joint economic initiatives of the Turkic world countries.

"The unity of Turkic states is the sincere wish of our peoples, who have been united by a common history, culture, values and traditions for centuries.

The growing prestige and economic power of Turkic states define our countries as an important component of the world economy and geopolitics," said Mehmet Sureyya Er.

The use of new development strategies and innovative methods to strengthen trade and economic ties was considered within the framework of the event, and the exchange of experience between Turkic countries was discussed.
