The Uzbek Agency of automobile transport is preparing to launch a new international bus route Tashkent-Khujand-Kokand, the Uzbek newspaper Pravda Vostoka reports. This route operated until 1999, but it was canceled for technical reasons. On December 4, it  began the first technical trip on this route.

"The need for direct bus service between the Fergana Valley and Tashkent, as well as other cities of the republic, is long. However, such transportation is possible only in transit through the territory of Tajikistan. A contract has been concluded with the private firm Mironshox Grand Trans, which will operate the route on comfortable Yutong buses ", said the head of the department of control and coordination of road transport of the Uzbek Agency Abror Isaev.

The length of the bus route is 346 kilometers, the estimated travel time is 11 hours and 35 minutes, it also includes passing state borders, from the Uzbek side through the Oybek and Andarkhon checkpoints, from Tajikistan - Fotehobod and Patar .

Recall that in addition to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan is connected with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia by bus routes.
