Tashkent. 3 July. UzTAG - Uzbekistan Airways National Air Company (NAC) received the fifth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.

“On July 2, at 18.35, the fifth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of the National Aircraft Company of Uzbekistan landed at the Tashkent International Airport named after I. Karimov. (...) The liner is designed for the transportation of 246 passengers: 24 - in business class and 222 - in economy class, ”the airline’s press service said.

As noted, the new aircraft received a registration number UK78705

"In 2020, in accordance with the development plans of Uzbekistan Airways, NJSC will have six airliners of this type in its fleet and will become the leading operator of such aircraft in the CIS," the report says.

Recall that the new airliners were acquired as part of an investment project to upgrade and expand the fleet of NAC Uzbekistan aircraft with aviation technology to ensure competitiveness and safety of flights.

NAC of Uzbekistan became the first customer of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Central Asia. The airline began their commercial operation in September 2016. Currently, this type of airliner operates flights to Europe, Asia, and America, from Alaska to New Zealand.
