Turkey seeks to bring trade with Uzbekistan to two billion dollars in 2019, but this is not the limit. There is every opportunity to increase this figure to $ 5 billion.
This was stated by Chairman of the Council for Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey (DEİK) Nail Olpak at the Turkey-Uzbekistan Business Forum in Ankara.
The forum was organized by DEİK and was attended by Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister Elior Ganiyev.
Olpak noted that Turkey attaches particular importance to the development of relations with Uzbekistan.
He recalled that the basis for the development of cooperation between the two countries are more than 100 agreements and protocols, in particular in the areas of defense, politics, education, health, transport and commerce.
The head of DEİK recalled the successful projects implemented by Turkish companies around the world.
“We are ready to share experience. Joint projects in the field of tourism, agriculture, light industry, energy and the mining sector will benefit both sides, ”said Olpak.
