A delegation of Volkswagen Group Rus LLC, headed by General Director Stefan Mecha, visited Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
At a meeting with representatives of the department, the guests were acquainted with plans to develop the production of Euro-5 motor fuel in the republic - in particular, the parties discussed the work of the GTL plant and the reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery.
The interest of the Volkswagen Group Rus delegation aroused the possibility of launching the production of electric cars in the country. In addition, representatives of the company got acquainted with projects for the development of renewable energy sources. The parties also touched upon promising joint projects.
