According to the Hellenic Shipping News information portal, the Pakistani port of Karachi sent export transit cargo from Uzbekistan to India for the first time.

The transfer of goods was handled by Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), owned by International Container Terminal Services.

Goods from Uzbekistan were delivered to the port of Karachi and exported from there to India. Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) hopes that such cooperation will inspire other countries to use Pakistan's trade route.

In the statement of Pakistan International Container Terminal Services: "This transit of goods offers significant geostrategic advantages, especially for other non-coastal countries in Central Asia. For the port of Karachi, this was the beginning of a new stage and a symbol of strengthening cooperation between the two countries,"the press service of the Dec said.
