The volume of Turkish direct investment and the number of Turkish enterprises in Tajikistan are increasing, Avesta news agency reports. According to the state Committee for investment and state property management of the Republic of Tajikistan, last year the amount of direct Turkish investments in the national economy amounted to 13.5 million US dollars.
Based on data of the state departments of the economic bloc of Tajikistan, the volume of direct Turkish investments in the Tajik economy is more than 213 million dollars. These funds were used for the implementation of projects to create enterprises to produce soft drinks, paint products, furniture, production of passenger buses, and more.
Currently, there are about 90 Turkish companies operating in various industries in Tajikistan.
It is planned to implement and put into operation joint Tajik-Turkish enterprises, including in the construction sector. Particularly, it is expected to put into operation a Tajik-Turkish enterprise to produce elevators. The sum of the project is $500 thousand.
In addition, Turkish investors are considering the project of creation in Dushanbe of the joint venture to produce high-quality pipes made of fiberglass.
