Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are expediting the signing of an intergovernmental agreement, aiming to simplify visa procedures for participants in international freight transportation across both nations, as reported by the Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Road Transport) agency on Saturday.
This objective was a focal point in a meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek expert working group, which delved into the fees imposed on carriers from both countries involved in international road transport.
The video conference, held on Wednesday, addressed the optimization of fees within the realm of international cargo transportation and outlined tasks for future cooperation. The Turkmen side expressed a keen interest in studying Uzbekistan's experience with the "E-permit" system, facilitating real-time electronic exchange of permit forms.
