Eurocement Group Holding has started construction of a cement plant at the Joint-Stock Company “Akhangarancement” site in Tashkent, the investment in the project will be more than $ 160 million.

The president of Eurocement Group holding, Mikhail Skorokhod said that the new enterprise will become a key part in the cluster of building materials that we are creating on the basis of Akhangarancement and the most ambitious initiative under this project. In addition, he said that the capacity of the new enterprise will be 3 million tons of cement per year. The first batch of products will be released in mid-2020.

The new enterprise will produce products in an energy efficient, dry way. The range includes high-quality cement, which will go to the construction of the republic: power plants, road and airfield pavements, residential and office buildings. Product quality takes into account the high requirements of seismic stability of buildings in the region.

Eurocement Group owns 75% of shares of JSC "Akhangarancement", which is the second in power and volume cement plant in Uzbekistan. The production volume is 1.9 million tons of cement per year.

The agreement was signed on October 3 in Tashkent within the framework of the Uzbek-Emirates business forum. The fund is designed to finance projects in various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan and India intend to create a technopark of software and innovative products.

The press service of the State Committee for Investments of Uzbekistan reported that Uzbekistan and India are implementing 50 investment projects worth $ 3 billion.
