On January 23, 2020, a seminar was held with participation of teachers and professors at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University with support of the Central Asian Research Center (ORASAM) on the topic “Central Asian countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation: the state and prospects for collaboration” .

The seminar was presented by Aliya Daurenova, the 3rd year PhD student of International relations Department of the Eurasian National University named after L.N.Gumilyev.

The seminar was dedicated to the doctoral student's research on cooperation between Central Asian countries and the Organization of Islamic cooperation, including a special role given to one of the most important specialized institutions of the organization, the Islamic development Bank, and its activities in the region. Doctoral student shared the main provisions of her thesis, and the results of the analysis of the annual reports of the IDB for identifying priorities for funding, monitoring the implementation of projects and aggregate financial transactions in the region over the entire period of cooperation and in the last five years. In her speech, the speaker showed the chronology of the development of relations between the countries of the region and the IDB, as well as analyzed the financing of projects with the identification of the main problems and prospects for cooperation.

In conclusion, the participants of the seminar discussed the theoretical and practical aspects of doctoral research and gave valuable recommendations to the young scientist on the above topic.  The Eurasian National University named after L.N.Gumilyev and the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University according to the agreement made  in April 7, 2017, between the two Universities, opened the way to do internships to graduate students of the two institutions.
