Türkiye shattered records for solar and wind power generation in April, a sign of the country's growing focus on renewable energy, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said on Friday.


The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan signed an agreement on Tuesday in Istanbul for the transportation of Turkmen natural gas to Türkiye through Azerbaijan and Georgia, reports Bloomberg HT.


Azerbaijan and Turkey are carrying out activities to ensure free trade. Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said this at the Turkish-Azerbaijani Business Forum in Ankara, Report reports.

The Turkish state-owned company BOTAŞ has affirmed its willingness to assist in the export of Turkmen gas to the Turkish market. This commitment was conveyed during a meeting on January 29, 2024, in Ankara, between BOTAŞ management and a Turkmen delegation representing the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) state concerns.


A Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum is planned to be held in Ankara on February 9, 2024, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
