Joint work of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan in the sphere of electronic commerce will be continued. This was announced at the meeting of the Trade Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey Chyngyz Toktobekov with the Director General of the General Directorate of the Postal and Telegraphic Organization of Turkey Hakan Cevikoglu, held on July 19 in Ankara.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting they discussed current and planned work in the field of e-commerce and logistics. Toktobekov proposed to organize the next meeting in Kyrgyzstan and get acquainted with the Kyrgyz e-commerce system.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the visit of Cevikoglu and his team to Kyrgyzstan to continue joint work on the development of e-commerce between the two countries.

Earlier, within the framework of the 11th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the trade mission under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey organized a meeting between the Chairman of the KR Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov and Hakan Cevikoglu. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop cooperation between the General Directorate of the Turkish Post and Telegraph Organization (Pttem) and Kyrgyzpochtasy OJSC.

Based on the agreements reached, the management of Kyrgyzpochtasy OJSC and Eldik OJSC (RSK Bank) familiarized themselves with the logistics warehouses of Pttem in Istanbul and decided to establish a working group for further joint work.
