TURKIC STATES NEED THEIR OWN CUSTOMS UNION - HEAD OF THE UNION OF CHAMBERS AND COMMODITY EXCHANGES OF TURKEY

Turkic states need to create their own customs union. This was stated by the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu during the second forum of the OTS countries.

According to him, Turkish companies have implemented 93 projects in Kyrgyzstan with a total value of about $1 billion so far. At the same time, investments are not limited only to the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan.

"Investments in Kyrgyzstan mean reaching a much wider geography thanks to the EAEU. It means access to a market of 180 million people. In addition, Kyrgyzstan neighbors China, and this market is also worth considering," he said.

Hisarcıklıoğlu also added that in the long term, the Turkic states should definitely create their own customs union within the framework of the OTS.
