Negotiations are underway with investors on the creation of clusters of cotton and sericulture in economic zones.
According to the Report, Zamir Dibirov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones, said this at a press conference following the results of 2022.
According to him, memoranda of cooperation on the development of sericulture, cotton and textile industries have been signed between the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones and business associations of Uzbekistan (Uzbekipaksanoat Association and Uztextilprom Association).
"Within the framework of joint cooperation, it is planned to create clusters of cotton and sericulture in economic zones. Meetings with investors are currently being held. Feasibility studies are being prepared for investment projects, work is being carried out on the allocation of land plots for the start of activities," said Dibirov.
