The EU has become Azerbaijan's main trading partner by the end of 2022. This is reported by Central Asia.news with reference to the message of the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Mikhalko in social networks.

According to Michalko, the European Union accounts for 52 percent of Azerbaijan's foreign trade. At the same time, more than 65 percent are exported to the European market. He added that this is the highest level in history.

Last year, the trade turnover between the European Union and Azerbaijan amounted to $ 27.2 billion. Such data is given by Peter Mikhalko in his publication.

The country has also increased the volume of imports from the CIS countries. According to the results of last year, imports increased by 50 percent and amounted to more than four billion dollars. At the same time, by the end of 2021, the volume of imports amounted to almost three billion dollars.
