“For us, the issue of security of energy supply is not ideological.” Vesti.az reports with reference to APA that Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyarto stated this in his speech at the Green Energy Corridor forum in Tbilisi.
“We need energy sources. If we look at the possibilities of new sources of energy supply to ensure balance in Hungary, we see the most realistic scenario in connection with the Caucasus region and Azerbaijan. As for Azerbaijan, we already have a political agreement on gas, which will be supplied this year,” the Hungarian minister said.
He noted that in addition to blue fuel, the import of electricity is important for the country.
“When we have additional sources of electricity, this will also affect our gas imports. The import of electricity from the Caucasus region is another source and a chance for us to diversify,” stressed Peter Siyarto.
