"In 2022, 700 thousand tourists from Azerbaijan visited Turkey. We expect that this figure will soon reach one million." According to the Report with reference to the Anadolu agency, this was stated by the chairman of the Association of Hoteliers of Turkey (TUROB) Müberra Eresin.
"Last year, Turkey was at the top of the list of trips of Azerbaijani citizens abroad, and 315,000 tourists visited Azerbaijan from Turkey. Thus, Turkish citizens took a place in the top five in terms of the number of tourist visits to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has the potential to receive more tourists from Turkey. In order to realize this important potential and increase the number of mutual tourist trips to 1.85 million people, we will cooperate with our Azerbaijani colleagues and carry out advertising work," he said.
