The event was organized within the framework of the 2nd meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States. The first meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic states was held in Uzbekistan.
More than 200 heads of agro-industrial complex, large companies and producers of food products from the member countries of the organization - Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Turkmenistan - took part in the current agro-forum. The event has become a good platform for expanding trade and economic cooperation and cooperative ties through B2B - meetings and negotiations.
Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov informed the participants about the reforms carried out in the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan and future goals while opening the meeting. The Minister mnetioned that further increase of agricultural productivity, creation of climate-friendly, eco-friendly and digital agriculture, as well as diversification of export products and geography are the main principles for sustainable development of the agri sector.
The Agribusiness Forum focused on expanding mutual economic ties in the agribusiness sector, including the implementation of mutually beneficial projects between member states and observers, as well as increasing trade and capital mobilization.
