Following the results of the first quarter of 2023 Azerbaijan has entered the top 5 among gas suppliers to Europe through pipelines.
APA-Economics reports with reference to the quarterly report of the European Commission on the situation in the European gas market, Vesti.az reports.
According to the information, in the first quarter of 2023 Azerbaijan increased gas supplies to the EU countries through the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) by 13% compared to the same period last year, up to 2.8 billion cubic meters.
It is reported that Norway, North Africa, Russia and the UK were also included in the list of the top five suppliers from January to March. Azerbaijan took the 5th place in this list.
It should be noted that transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe via TAP started on December 31, 2021.
