Azerbaijan and Türkiye signed an agreement on natural gas cooperation, Report informs. “The agreement signed today contributes to the delivery of Azerbaijan's energy resources, primarily natural gas to Türkiye, to European markets through Türkiye, as well as to the supply of resources in Central Asia to the Turkish market and from there to the world market through Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the signing ceremony of the "Türkiye-Azerbaijan natural gas cooperation agreement" held in Istanbul today.
According to him, the Azerbaijan-Türkiye partnership contributes positively to the energy security, development and stability of many countries in the region:
Jabbarov recalled that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline connected not only Azerbaijan and Türkiye, but in a broader sense also the brotherly Turkic states from Central Asia were involved in this project and their energy resources were transported through this project, which was another manifestation of the unity of the Turkic world.
