On 21 May, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov. Laziz Kudratov conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome.
He noted that the Uzbek leader highly values the level of partnership between the two countries and is happy to follow the successes of Azerbaijan achieved thanks to the far-sighted policy of Ilham Aliyev.
Kudratov emphasized the strengthening of Azerbaijan’s international authority, the dynamic development of its economy and the growth of investments, as well as the successful containment of inflation, despite global challenges.
Minister Kudratov expressed gratitude for the support of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings and asked to convey his best wishes to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of Azerbaijan noted that he follows with interest the development processes in Uzbekistan, implemented under the leadership of its President. He emphasized the concrete results of economic reforms and development of various areas in Uzbekistan.
Recalling with satisfaction his visit to Uzbekistan, Aliyev noted the successful resolution of issues of industrial potential and protection of cultural heritage. The President expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation.
The President of Azerbaijan emphasized that Laziz Kudratov’s visit created a good opportunity to discuss new projects aimed at strengthening economic cooperation.
