Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have decided to unite the automotive industry. The new association called "Turkic Automobile Industry" was headed by UzAuto Motors, whose specialists signed a contract for the production of Chevrolet Onix in Kazakhstan. Later, the assembly of Uzbek cars will be set up at the site in Azerbaijan.

According to representatives of the Uzbek leader company, the new association will help the development of the automotive industry on the Eurasian continent, as well as unite the market with a total population of more than 65 million people.

Projects for $570 million

Uzbek UzAuto Motors, together with the Kazakh company Allur and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, have signed an agreement for the implementation of several projects totaling about $ 570 million.

As part of the cooperation, the Chevrolet Onix small-node assembly was deployed at the Allur plant in Kazakhstan.

It is expected that up to 30,000 cars assembled from Uzbek car kits will be produced annually at the enterprise. The first cars can come off the assembly line in the spring of next year.

Distribution center of spare parts and accessories

UzAuto Motors has also signed a contract with Kazakh partners, under which a distribution center of spare parts and components for the automotive market of Kazakhstan will be created in Uzbekistan.

In addition, the alliance plans to arrange the assembly of Uzbek cars at the AzerMash Azerbaijani plant.
