Roman Sklyar reported on the work to create an "open sky" mode over Kazakhstan. He said that in 2020, it is expected to open 14 new routes that will serve well-known airlines from Qatar, Poland, Oman, Belarus, Malaysia, Romania, the UAE, and Kuwait. Negotiations are also underway with the aviation authorities of Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Latvia, and Lithuania

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that in 2019, 12 new air routes were opened, including from the capital of Kazakhstan to Prague, Ulaanbaatar and Tokyo.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to continue active work on expanding air links between Kazakhstan and interested states, as well as on increasing cargo transportation through the main airports of Kazakhstan.

The President also noted the importance of increasing competition in the aviation sector, which will have a positive impact on the quality of passenger service and the development of civil aviation in general.
