Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin connected with members of the government via video link on April 21. The thematic range of issues of the virtual government forum, this time has shifted from epidemic to socio-economic. Representatives of the Cabinet considered issues of modernization and expansion of the country's transport and communication network in the parameters of the global program plan "Nurly Zhol" until 2025.

During the videoconference, it was noted that the entire road network will be brought to the proper level in the country over the five-year period. According to the development concept, new and existing arteries will be stretched and reconstructed, 21 thousand kilometers of national significance and 27 thousand kilometers of regional significance. The head of government said that 112 engineering projects with the participation of domestic and foreign companies have been worked out to implement this scale, and 550 thousand jobs will be created in them.
Addressing the participants, the Prime Minister said that the plan was unprecedented. Mamin stressed that such a huge amount of work is being implemented for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan. Only this year, the auto traffic will begin to run in such strategic directions as Karaganda — Balkhash — Kapshagai, Kalbatau — Maykapshagai, Usharal –Dostyk, Aktobe — Astrakhan.
The Prime Minister instructed the relevant departments to hand over all the objects without delay and work out a system of payment for comfort and easy movement along transport corridors. Extremely important, the Prime Minister identified the use and expansion of the country's transit capabilities. In addition, Askar Mamin set a goal to complete the construction of a passenger terminal at Shymkent airport and an international air Harbor in Turkestan in 2020.
