The hospital is located in the industrial zone of Almaty. Austrian technology was used to construct it. Special modules were used for construction, which are used for building oil workers ' shift camps. Modules for the Almaty hospital were brought from Atyrau. It should be noted that a special air ventilation technology is used there, which will help to prevent the risk of getting infected and protect the medical workers.
Because of the powerful flow of clean air, air from the so-called "dirty" zone does not get into the sterile zone. In addition, a special gateway between the "dirty" and "clean" zones is provided for medical workers. The hospital is designed for 280 patients, with a total of 98 wards - single, double and triple.
There only the most necessary things like beds, places for eating in the wards. Each of them has a separate bathroom with a shower. It is not for a single stay, but for temporary isolation for diagnosis.
Each ward has a separate entrance from the street. The hospital is also equipped with two intensive care units for 14 people each, and if necessary, the number of beds can be increased.
Intensive care units are equipped with ventilators. According to the chief doctor of the new hospital Alexander Mukashev, there will be about 200 medical workers, 75 of them are doctors. The total staff number includes both volunteers and combined employees. Patients with a confirmed diagnosis will be delivered in the new hospital.
