A plant for production of pipes for oil and gas industry was opened in Aktau with the participation of the head of the region Nurlan Nogayev, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Mangistau region akimat.
As noted in the press service, this is the country's first plant for production of external and internal insulation of steel pipes of small and medium diameter (up to 530 mm). The enterprise will annually produce about 700 km of pipes required for oil and gas industry. Here, using the latest technology, internal and external anti-corrosion coatings for steel pipes will be produced. According to the director of New Pipe Technologies LLP Myrzabay Ondagan, the cost of the investment project is 5 billion tenge. 200 new jobs were created. The workers were trained. "We will make every effort to increase local content in the oil and gas industry of the region. The opening of such a production has a positive effect on the socio-economic development of the region," - said Nurlan Nogayev. The ceremony was attended by local residents, representatives of business, government agencies, deputy of the Majilis of Parliament Edil Zhanbyrshin, deputies of town and regional maslikhats and others.
