According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the output of passenger cars for ten months of this year amounted to а record 61.8 thousand — 19% more than a year earlier. Such data is provided by energyprom.kz. In value terms, the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers reached 556.9 billion tenge in ten months against 460.9 billion tenge in the same period last year.

This is 31.6% of the entire segment of Kazakhstan's mechanical engineering. Capital investments in the sector, meanwhile, for ten months amounted to 9.6 billion tenge, or about 21% of all capital investments in the field of mechanical engineering. As for exports, according to the profile association, the Association of Automobile Business of Kazakhstan, 9.7 thousand cars were sent to foreign markets in January–October of this year. The growth for the year was over 60%. Moreover, the indicator was 3.7 times higher than the export volumes of the full year 2019.

Thus, 16% of all "iron horses" produced in the Republic of Kazakhstan have already been exported against 10% a year earlier and only slightly more than 5% in the same period of 2019. The main export direction for the Kazakh automotive industry is Russia: 5.6 thousand cars, the growth is doubled in a year. Uzbekistan is also among the priority countries: 3.6 thousand cars, plus 13% compared to the previous year.

In addition, Kazakh cars were exported to Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, and although quantitative indicators are still relatively small in both directions (464 and 110 cars, respectively), export growth is very significant (almost twice for Kyrgyzstan and 8.4 times for Belarus), which indicates a positive dynamics of export expansion in these directions. Also, for the first time, delivery was recorded to the most popular exported brand — Chevrolet, whose cars are produced in Kazakhstan at the Kostanay factory "SaryarkaAvtoProm". 4 thousand cars of this brand have already been delivered to foreign markets — 92% more than previous year. In addition, 2.3 thousand JAC cars were exported from this factory, an increase of 2.2 times over the year.

Another 3.5 thousand (plus 19% per year) exported cars belong to the Hyundai brand. In Kazakhstan, passenger cars of this brand are produced in Almaty, at the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan factory. One of the priorities for the country remains maintaining high production rates in the real sector and actively stimulating the export of products. The automobile industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan copes with this task quite well.
