The Heads of Kazakhstan and Turkey Kassym-Jomart Tokaev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchanged views on the further development of multifaceted economic and political relations during a telephone communication on April 4. This was reported by the information resource of President Tokaev.
The politicians exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as on the third anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties in March.
The interlocutors positively stated the positive regularity of the development of trade and economic relations. In this vein, the President of Kazakhstan voiced the high importance of gradually increasing the volume of bilateral trade to $ 5 billion, and then in the foreseeable future to $ 10 billion.
In turn, the President of Turkey said that he very much hopes for the productivity of the negotiations, within the framework of the state visit of the head of Kazakhstan to Ankara scheduled for May. Turkey expects that the future meeting will give a new impetus to the comprehensive development of relations, Erdogan confirmed.
