Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev said that out of the total pool of investment projects, the manufacturing industry accounts for 633 with an investment volume of 20.5 trillion tenge. There are 57 projects for the mining industry, agriculture and infrastructure development, with an investment volume of 1.3 trillion tenge, the correspondent of the Kapital.kz business information center reports.

"165 projects will be introduced this year the remaining 498 projects will be implemented from 2023 to 2026. The total investment volume of projects implemented this year is 1.7 trillion tenge," the minister said at a government meeting.

The most capital-intensive projects worth 820 billion tenge will be implemented in Atyrau region. "Despite the small number of projects – 5 - investments per workplace amount to 1 billion tenge. The lowest volume of investments fell on the Pavlodar region – 7.4 billion tenge. The least capital-intensive job creation is noted in the West Kazakhstan region, North Kazakhstan region, Kostanay region - about 20 - 30 million tenge per workplace," Kairbek Uskenbayev said.

In the context of state bodies, Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is implementing 107 projects this year, the Ministry of Agriculture - 46, the Ministry of Energy is responsible for the implementation of 5 projects and the Ministry of Health - 7.

"When reaching full capacity, these projects will produce products worth 2.5 trillion tenge, and the total volume of their exports will amount to 3.6 billion dollars," the head of the department said.

The key projects of this year are the construction of a propylene plant in Atyrau region, a plant for the production of automobile tires in Karaganda region, a gold recovery plant in Akmola region and an oil refinery in Turkestan region. A project for the production of aluminum cans will be launched in Shymkent, an oil extraction plant in the East Kazakhstan region, an expansion of the production of mineral fertilizers is planned in Zhambyl region, and the production of aluminum and bimetallic radiators will be launched in Almaty.
