According to the press service of Kazakhstan Railways, the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and Turkey agreed to develop logistics services.

The cooperation agreement between the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and Turkey was signed by Nurlan Sauranbayev and General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. Hasan Pezuk in Ankara.

The document, which also includes the use of the Kars-Ahalkalaki railway line as a key corridor for Turkey, aims to strengthen the cooperation of both countries and develop their logistics potential.

In addition, experts from Turkey confirmed that by 2023, there has been a fourfold increase in the capacity and volume of cargo traffic along this corridor.

During the meeting between Kasım Cömert Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the residence of the President of Turkey on May 10, Kasım Cömert Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the Joint Statement on the Extended Strategic Partnership.

At the same time, issues related to the implementation of joint investment projects in the mining and processing industries, construction and agriculture sectors were discussed. Strengthening transport and transit partnerships and better use of the potential of the Trans-Caspian international transport route were also mentioned.
