On May 10, in Ankara, the national company Kazakhstan Engineering and Turkish Aerospace signed a memorandum on military-technical cooperation.

The document says that ANKA unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) assembly and maintenance line will be organized in Kazakhstan on the basis of a subsidiary company Kazakhstan Engineering. This was reported to the Kapital.kz business information center by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The agreement on the joint production of ANKA drones in Kazakhstan was signed during the visit of the Kazakhstan delegation to Ankara. According to the agreement, long-term cooperation is planned in the field of joint production of UAVs, as well as technology transfer and training of personnel for the maintenance and repair of UAVs for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan has become the first foreign country where the production of ANKA drones will be established. TUSAŞ CEO Temel Kotil expressed gratitude for the interest of foreign partners in ANKA drones. "The new agreement will further strengthen friendly ties with fraternal Kazakhstan," he stressed.

The Anka reconnaissance and strike drone was created in Turkey in 2013. It was tested in combat conditions. The UAV has a maximum take-off weight of 1,700 kg, is capable of carrying a payload of up to 350 kg. Flight time is up to 30 hours at a maximum altitude of up to 9,000 meters. The wingspan is 17.5 meters with a length of about 8 meters.
