The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey in the first quarter of 2022 reached $ 1.5 billion. If we talk about the total volume of trade turnover with all foreign countries, Turkey ranks third with a share of 6.5%, including the share of imports is 4.2%, exports – 7.2%, reports the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz with reference to the press service of the State Revenue Committee.

"In the first quarter of this year, goods worth $ 1,251.9 million were exported to Turkey, $ 236.3 million were imported. Accordingly, the positive balance of foreign trade turnover was formed at the level of $ 1 billion. The main demand from the Turkish side was "fuel and energy goods", the value of which reached $ 885 million, which is 70.7% of all exports in three months. In second place are "metals and products made of them", the value of 324 million dollars or 25.9% in the structure of exports," the message says.

Also in 2022, animal and vegetable products, textiles, machinery, chemical industry products, etc. were exported to Turkey.

Machinery, devices and apparatuses worth $62 million were imported to Kazakhstan from Turkey, which is 26.2% of the import structure. In second place, "textiles and textile products" - by $ 47.5 million, this accounted for 20% of all imports in three months.

Also, chemical industry products, animal and vegetable products, metals and products made from them, shoes, head products and haberdashery goods, construction materials, etc. were imported from Turkey.

It should be noted that the trade turnover between the two countries in the first quarter of 2021 reached $ 803.1 million: exports - $ 545.2 million, imports - $ 257.8 million.
