Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with the President and CEO of the Yildirim Holding Group of companies Robert Yuksel Yildirim. The head of the company informed the head of the government about the current activities in Kazakhstan and the prospects for the implementation of new projects, reports primeminister.kz .
Currently, Yildirim Holding is successfully operating in the Aktobe region for the extraction of chromium ore and the production of chromium concentrate, together with Kazgeologia JSC, it conducts geological exploration in the Pavlodar, Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions as part of replenishing the raw material base.
In total, since 2013, according to Robert Yuksel Yildirim, the holding has invested more than $ 500 million in the economy of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Alikhan Smailov noted that the Government of Kazakhstan welcomes the intention of Yildirim Holding to expand investments in our country, given that the company is one of the three largest Turkish investors in Kazakhstan.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the project initiated by the holding to build a soda ash plant in Zhambyl region, as a result of which Kazakhstan should switch from importing to exporting this product in the region.
"Of course, this project will be a breakthrough in the history of Kazakh-Turkish investment cooperation. The State has already started fulfilling its obligations to provide the necessary infrastructure. In this regard, we expect the start of an active phase of construction and installation work for the commissioning of the plant until 2025," Alikhan Smailov said.
For his part, Robert Yuksel Yildirim thanked the Kazakh partners for their assistance in the implementation of projects and stressed the readiness of Yildirim Holding to expand cooperation with our country.
