Board member of Koç Holding Ali Koch told President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the current activities of the company, as well as plans for the implementation of joint projects in Kazakhstan, the press service of Akorda reports.

According to Ali Koch, the Turkish holding intends to implement a number of projects in the field of defense industry and agriculture.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noting that cooperation with Turkey is of particular importance for our country, said that the state will always support investors working in Kazakhstan.

Recall that in April, during a state visit to Turkey, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Then it became known that the countries plan to increase mutual trade turnover to $ 10 billion. "Turkey is one of the five leading trade partners of Kazakhstan. The mutual trade turnover between our countries is growing every year. In 2021, it exceeded $5 billion. Without slowing down these rates, we must bring it to $ 10 billion. Turkey is also one of our 10 largest investors. It has invested over $4 billion in the Kazakh economy. Kazakhstan has invested more than $1 billion in the Turkish economy. Over the past two years, 16 investment projects have been implemented in Kazakhstan. Our country has great potential for the development of such areas as the "green" economy, IT technologies, space activities, industrial production. I invite you to work together in these areas. We are ready to support all initiatives of Turkish investors and create favorable conditions for them," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev noted.
