A poultry farm with a capacity of 5,000 tons of chicken meat per year was opened in the Akkayyn district of the North Kazakhstan region, the Kapital.kz business information center reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The enterprise is equipped with modern European equipment from Big Dutchman, SzlachetStal and Vagner, which in the future will allow producing up to 20 thousand tons of poultry meat annually. The poultry farm provided work for 165 people. The cost of the project is 5 billion tenge, including at the expense of a concessional loan through the SEC within the framework of the comprehensive development plan of the North Kazakhstan region. In addition, within the framework of state support, the appropriate infrastructure has been brought to the enterprise.
It is noted that over the past two years, the North Kazakhstan region has allocated 35 billion tenge for the implementation of investment projects in the field of agriculture. According to the results of ten months, agricultural products worth 1 trillion tenge were produced in the region.
In general, there are 65 poultry farms in Kazakhstan. In 2022, poultry meat production increased by 2.9%, to 239.6 thousand tons. The production of edible eggs increased by 4.9% to 4.2 billion pieces.
The provision of the Kazakhstani market with its own edible eggs is 101%. For poultry meat, the provision indicator increased from 50% to 65%. Full import substitution for poultry meat is planned to be implemented by 2025 through the construction of new and modernization of existing poultry farms.
