According to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the meeting, prospects for the development of cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the trade turnover with the Republic of Tatarstan for the first nine months of this year exceeded 466 million dollars. The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the expansion of ties in trade, economic and other spheres.
"Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his re-election as President of Kazakhstan. He also stressed that major projects in the field of mechanical engineering are being successfully implemented. According to him, today the first products have been produced at the tire factory built by the Tatarstan company in the city of Saran. The plant plans to reach its full design capacity next year. The company will annually produce 3.5 million tires for cars and trucks. 1.1 thousand jobs will be created at the plant, the volume of investments is $ 400 million," the press service of the President of Kazakhstan notes.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of further strengthening mutual partnership. He stressed that he would continue to support such joint projects.
