The prospects of launching new investment projects in Kazakhstan were discussed by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and CEO of Turkish company Gap İnşaat Aziz Çengel, the press service of the head of government reports.

During the meeting, Aziz Çengel expressed the company's interest in expanding its investments in the republic. In particular, according to him, the construction of a thermal power plant in Kokshetau is a prospective project.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Republic of Turkey is an important strategic partner for Kazakhstan, so the government welcomes the implementation of new mutually beneficial projects.

At the same time, Alikhan Smailov added that the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is holding an open tender for the construction of a thermal power plant in Kokshetau on the principles of transparency and competitiveness, in which all potential investors can participate.

In turn, Aziz Çengel declared his readiness to participate in the tender.

- According to the developed feasibility study, the electric capacity of the new thermal power plant in Kokshetau will be 240 MW; the thermal capacity will be 520 Gcal/ h

. - Financing of the project will be carried out at the expense of the winning investor of the tender.
