Oil from Kazakhstan's Kashagan field began to be transported for the first time through the Aktau-Baku route.

As the Report informs, this was reported in the press service of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO). "For the first time, oil produced at the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan began to be transported along the Aktau-Baku route. The transportation of oil along the new route was carried out by the tanker "Akademik Khoshbakht Yusifzade" of the ASCO marine transport flotilla," the report says.

The first batch of oil in the amount of 6,900 tons was loaded onto the tanker. The tanker will deliver oil from the Kazakh port of Aktau to the Azerbaijani Sangachal terminal.
