Kazakhstan is interested in developing trade cooperation with Azerbaijan.

According to the Report, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev said this at a meeting of the trade and economic mission of Kazakhstani commodity producers in Baku. According to him, the companies of the two countries annually conclude contracts for at least 30 million US dollars.

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan increased last year and reached 262 million US dollars. According to the Vice Minister, a delegation of representatives of 23 Kazakhstani companies has arrived in Baku to further develop trade cooperation. Kairat Torebayev added that Kazakhstan is also considering the possibility of opening a trading house in Baku. At the same time, 145 Azerbaijani companies are currently operating in Kazakhstan, mainly in the small and medium-sized business sector.
