Under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh government, Altai Kulginov, a regular meeting was held, the participants of which discussed the preparations for the tourist season and problematic issues of the development of resort areas. This was reported to Central Asia.news by the press service of the Prime Minister of the state.
At the meeting, it was said that according to the results of last year, the number of domestic tourists increased by 1.7 million people compared to 2021, reaching 8.6 million. It is expected that the number of citizens of Kazakhstan who have decided to rest inside the country this year may reach 9 million people.
