In Baku, the newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

Accepting diplomatic letter from the Kazakhstani diplomat, President Aliyev noted the dynamic development of cooperation between the two states, stressing that mutual visits at the highest level served to further strengthen partnership in key areas.

During the conversation, the head of Azerbaijan also stressed that transport and logistics cooperation is one of the priority areas of cooperation with Kazakhstan. According to President Aliyev, the implementation of infrastructure projects creates additional opportunities for increasing the volume of cargo transportation.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan shared the opinion of President Ilham Aliyev on the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the implementation of international projects that are important for the development of the economies of not only Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, but also other countries in the region. Among such projects is the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as well as the laying of a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on issues of cooperation in the format of international organizations, including within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
