"I am confident that the launch of cross-border projects will have a positive impact on the growth of tourist flow between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as become a unique tourist product that joins not only ancient cities and monuments, but most importantly - the common history of Turkic countries," Yermek Marzhikpaev said.

The Minister of Tourism and Sports also proposed to continue work on joint promotion of the unified brand of Central Asia and participation in international tourism exhibitions.

Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev emphasized that Uzbekistan is very interested in starting up joint tourism projects with Kazakhstan. For example, in the development of joint tour packages. The Ambassador also said that work is underway to facilitate the movement of tourist buses between the two countries in order to increase the bilateral tourist flow.
