The company intends to establish drip irrigation system production in the Zhambyl region. The Head (Akim) of the Zhambyl region, Yerbol Karashukeyev, and the CEO of Atlantis, Gürsel Aral, discussed the prospects of implementing projects on the efficient use of water resources, the press service of the region’s administration reports.
The Turkish company Atlantis focuses on the development of drip irrigation technologies. Gürsel Aral expressed his intention to establish the production of such systems in the Zhambyl region.
Karashukeyev provided detailed information about the ongoing efforts to supply the region with irrigation water. Several directions were identified simultaneously, including the efficient use of groundwater resources, the reconstruction and repair of canals, the construction of reservoirs, the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, and the introduction of water-saving technologies.
"The Zhambyl region plays a strategic role in the development of the country's agrarian sector. Special emphasis is placed on the accelerated development of the sugar beet industry. About 80 percent of onions in the country are grown in the Zhambyl region. For the successful fulfillment of our set tasks, we need to actively introduce drip irrigation technology," said the Akim of the region. Considering the significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness for close collaboration.
