Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov paid an official visit to the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reports.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Bakhtiyor Saidov discussed a wide range of aspects of bilateral cooperation. They exchanged views on the priority areas of political, economic, water, energy, transit transport, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Nurtleu emphasised that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are successfully developing multifaceted cooperation based on brotherhood, equality, mutual respect and trust thanks to the political will of the two leaders.

It was noted that Kazakhstan is one of the largest trade partners of Uzbekistan. Thanks to the measures taken, bilateral trade turnover has exceeded $4 billion in recent years. The parties expressed the willingness to increase it to $10 billion.
