Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan adopted an action plan to increase trade turnover in Samarkand on the margins of the forum of interregional cooperation. 70 exporters took part in the trade and economic mission from Kazakhstan, Kapital.kz business information center reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration.
“As you know, the presidents of the two countries set a large-scale task to bring trade turnover in the medium term to 10 billion dollars. The forum held under the chairmanship of the prime ministers is a practical realization of the set tasks. We place great emphasis on interregional cooperation. On the margins of the forum, our regions have signed relevant agreements with the regions of Uzbekistan. Also today, my vis-a-vis and I have signed a plan of practical actions to boost trade turnover. All this is aimed at making the relations between the two countries a locomotive for promoting the economy of the region as a whole,” Arman Shakkaliev said.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan plan to launch 74 joint projects. At the same time, 65 enterprises are planned to open in the territory of Kazakhstan within the framework of industrial cooperation between the two countries.
