During the working visit of the parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey to attend a meeting of speakers of Eurasian parliaments, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Jumabekov met with the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yildirim.

As reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, on ​​October 9, during the meeting, Binali Yıldırım stated that recently there has been a dynamic in the development of bilateral relations and now they are at a high level.

“President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov , who visited our country on an official visit, and then the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan in the opening of the III World Nomad Games gave impetus to the dynamic development of bilateral relations. We have an important event ahead - the third meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of the countries of Eurasia, dedicated to economic cooperation, the environment and sustainable development in Eurasia, where they will discuss the most pressing issues relating to our regions. We will also discuss issues of multilateral cooperation, ”said Yildirim.

The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh thanked Binali Yıldırım for the warm welcome. He stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have a common history.

“We are developing together in the Turkic-speaking world and are moving towards our intended goal. It is gratifying that we have a common goal and are moving towards its achievement. At the meeting of speakers of the parliaments of the countries of Eurasia, of course, many issues on the agenda will be discussed. The parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov is in Turkey to participate in the Third Meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Parliament. The delegation includes deputies of Almaz Ergeshov, Zhyldyz Musabekova, Gulshat Asylbaeva. During the meeting, issues of ecology, demography and joint opposition to world challenges and threats will be discussed. The participants of this event call its format “unique”, as it allows gathering heads of parliaments from all over the Eurasian continent on one platform.
