Citizens of Tajikistan may arrive in Kyrgyzstan without registration within 60 calendar days.

On October 11, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament of Kyrgyzstan) deputies considered a draft law on ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the procedure for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Tajikistan and citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The agreement was signed on February 1, 2018 in Dushanbe.

This Agreement provides for the possibility of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic staying on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic without registration with the competent authorities of the parties for up to 60 calendar days (currently 5 days).

The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan ratified this agreement in the third reading, according to which, citizens of Tajikistan can stay in the territory of Kyrgyzstan without registration with state bodies for 60 calendar days. Earlier, citizens of Tajikistan who arrived in Kyrgyzstan were required to register within 5 days.

In 2012, Tajikistan included the citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the list of countries that were exempted from enrolling in the internal agencies as foreign citizens for a 60-day period.
