Kyrgyzstan plans to enter the top 50 countries of Doing Business by 2022, that is, for ease of doing business. This is provided for in the government’s program for 2018–2022.

The World Bank published the Doing Business 2019 report, where Kyrgyzstan ranked 70th among 190 countries of the world, moving 7 positions up in a year. The rating of countries on the ease of doing business allows to evaluate the regulatory acts governing business activities.

The Ministry of Economy reported that in order to improve positions in the Doing Business ranking, an action plan has been developed. The plan covers all 10 rating indicators, in particular, special efforts are directed to the worst indicators of the rating, such as “Connection to Electric Networks”, “Taxation” and “Insolvency Resolution”.

The Ministry of Economic reported that over the past year reforms have been carried out in the areas of "enforcing contracts", "protecting minority investors", "resolving insolvency" and "international trade".

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan continues to hold a leading position in terms of the "Registration of Property" indicator, holding the 8th place in the world. Low indicators of the country are seen in “Taxation” and "Connection to Electricity."
